On the 4th January, David Cameron launched the Conservatives' Draft NHS Manifesto, signalling our continued commitment to the NHS.
Speaking at the launch of the document, the Conservative Party Leader said: "Today, the Conservatives are the party of the NHS. But talk is cheap. You've got to back that with action. And we have. We are the only party committed to protecting NHS spending. It's there in black and white behind me. I'll cut the deficit, not the NHS."

We need your help. If, like me, you are calling for change, get involved in our local campaign. With the Conservatives there is a huge variety of tasks that need to be done from stuffing envelopes and delivering leaflets; to canvassing and assisting with events: to all the work leading up to a successful polling day. Click here if you think you could spare us some time, or if you’d like to join the party, click here. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello, I welcome the statment that the Conservatives will turn the Department of Health into a Department of Public Health so that the prevention of illness gets the attention from government it needs. I would like to know detailed plans about how Conservatives will tackle the detrimental effect that the binge drinking culture has on the health and well-being of our nation. In paticlar the cost in time, money and inconvenience to others that this behaviour causes. Best Regards

The proposal for a one-off £8,000 payment re long term residential care is EXCELLENT. I speak from experience of thousands of pounds being paid by my Mum and Dad to finance their long term care. Dad's residential home care lasted for around 3 years and Mum's has been for 5 years and is still ongoing. Both are (were) self funded.

Hospitals need realistic targets to help motivate staff,we all need an aim to work to. I don't like GP's having the power for patients budgets - this could end up a two tear system The Haves
